How much will my translation cost? How long will it take?
Pricing for Arabic to English translation depends on a variety of factors, most importantly the length of the Arabic text. Note that length is judged based on the number of Arabic words, not the number of pages. Don't worry about finding out the word count--just send over your text and I will give you a free quote: [email protected].
I want to help you meet your deadlines, so I'm committed to getting your Arabic to English translation to you on your timeline. This may sometimes involve collaborating with other trusted translators if there is a tight deadline.

What's wrong with a translation agency? Why should I hire a freelancer?
When you're looking for Arabic to English translation services, you will find two main options: agencies or freelancers. An agency is a middleman--you will communicate with a Project Manager, who finds a freelancer from their contacts to translate your document. You have little control over the specific translator who works on your text. You probably will not even be able to contact them or know their name. The project manager probably does not know Arabic.
While agencies do provide the convenience of handling multiple different languages, you cannot be certain of the quality of the translation you will receive. Often, agencies outsource Arabic to English translations to people who are not native English speakers and do not have proper training or education.
Your other option is to cut out the middleman and hire a freelance Arabic to English translator directly. This may seem daunting, but it's possible to evaluate your options via the translator's portfolio (here's mine) and professional credentials.
When you work with me, I am available before, during, and after the translation process. I will ask questions to make sure that I understand your text fully and know your target audience. Moreover, you can be certain your work is in the hands of a certified Arabic to English translator and a native English speaker. Email me at [email protected] to learn more.

How is Arabic to English legal translation unique?
Arabic to English legal translation requires the translator to have a solid knowledge of legal systems and terminology in both Arab and Western countries. Legal translation from Arabic is especially unique because there are 22 countries where Arabic is an official language, and each country may have its own terminology and legal particularities.
I'm familiar with these intricacies and can make sure your translation is both accurate and readable.

What about Machine Translation/Google Translate?
While AI and machine translation (which powers technologies like Google Translate) are making great strides in how language is understood, they can't yet replace human translation, especially in Arabic to English translation. I never use machine translation in my work, although I sometimes use technology called Computer Aided Translation (CAT). This software remembers how I've translated phrases in the past and suggests them as I go, saving me time and allowing me to get your translation back to you faster.
You aren't a native Arabic speaker--how can I be sure you know Arabic?
I have a world-class education in the Arabic language and years of experience living in the Middle East, all completed prior to beginning my career as an Arabic to English translator in 2019. This education includes bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Chicago and participation in the Center for Arabic Study Abroad (CASA) fellowship at the American University in Cairo. CASA is considered the "gold standard" of Arabic language education, open to only the most advanced students, and some of the most successful Arabic specialists in the US government and private sector are CASA alumni.
