Why a professional Arabic to English translator?Translation, like any other skilled service, should be done by a qualified professional. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to tell who is qualified--or even who is a professional!
Translation agencies offer low prices and promise to find "native speaker" translators to work on your texts. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is: many budget agencies simply find unqualified translators who will work for low prices. Most of the time, you'll never even know the name of the person who translated your text--much less communicate with them directly. If you'd rather work with someone whose skills you can assess yourself, consider working directly with a certified translator. I am a certified member of the American Translators Association and the Arab Professional Translators Society and I have a publicly available portfolio. We can discuss the details of your particular project and I can offer a free quote, sample, and consultation. If you want a translator to partner with instead of a distant and overworked project manager, let's talk. [email protected] لا تتردد في الاتصال بيّ باللغة العربية |

Arabic to English Legal TranslationLegal translation requires a specialist who is not only proficient in the source and target languages, but who understands the legal systems involved in multiple countries.
Terminology is a major element of Arabic to English legal translation that many inexperienced and generalist translators struggle with. Sometimes a translator without the requisite legal knowledge will accidentally use a specialized term in English that has a different meaning than the Arabic does. As a specialized legal translator, I have my own glossary with thousands of Arabic legal terms defined and translated. Even if I haven't seen a word in years, if it shows up in your document, I likely have the answer ready. And if I don't, I know enough about Arab and US legal systems to research effectively and find a clear and correct translation. Reach out to me at [email protected] to see how I can help with your Arabic to English legal translation needs. |

About Me
Nice to meet you! My name is Cara Piraino. Originally from Seattle, Washington, I earned my master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago. I studied Arabic at various language institutes and universities in the US, Oman, Jordan, Palestine and Egypt before becoming a professional translator. When not translating, I enjoy designing journals, reading, knitting and cooking.
The photos on this website are all ones I took living and traveling throughout the Middle East.
